I always meant to come back to this one. I just didn't for continued slack-related reasons. But while we were in the pub the other week, we though up two more tests.
(1) Name a famous pirate/ninja (Thanks Mik for this one).

(2) A team of pirates/ninjas dispatched into outer space to deflect an asteroid on collision course with the Earth (using nuclear weapons, of course). This was an interesting one, and first of all, we were leaning towards the ninja, and we're guessing they're just more competent! But then Eddie had a thought. After all, in all these films, something goes wrong about 2/3rds of the way through. At this point - according to Eddie - the ninja team would commit suicide. Whereas the pirate team - drunk in the hold having had too much rum, would probably stagger out and have another go. So ninjas more likely to succeed on first try - which NEVER happens in a film - but Pirates get a second chance. It's a toughie. Thoughts anyone??

You have clearly never worked in the Public Sector - which an asteroid destruction project clearly is!
Besides the Government nowadays couldn't afford Ninjas to do the job, so Cowboys would be the first choice, with Pirates a close second!

The Govt would contract to the Cowboys, but the Cowboys would subcontract to the Pirates, so the Cowboys would never get to try the whole "Asteroid Relocation & Reducation Programme".
The REAL problem would be that the Asteroid wouldn't be allowed to approach the Earth without promising to sign the US Patriot Act, have an income, speak English & declare it's abhorrence of the War on Terror (tm). It would then be approached by MacDonalds to see if they can build an Junk Food shop, then it would be sued because it didn't have the requiste "May cause a global catastrophe" warning on it. So really it's

I don't know what you are talking about Taz? I just happened to compile the third season of BSG with subtitles to DVD for James and Sally....
